Privacy Policy

Order Call AI, a d/b/a of Celestial Import LLC operates an AI phone agent for restaurants. This policy explains what personal information we handle and why. We handle it in two different roles, with different rules for each, so this policy is split into two parts.

The short version

  • Part A — information we control ourselves: website visitors and restaurant staff who use our panel.
  • Part B — information we process on behalf of a restaurant: calls from its guests. Here the restaurant decides, and we act only on its instructions.
  • Every call begins with a recorded notice. We do not train AI models on guest audio. We do not create voiceprints. We never handle card numbers.

Our two roles

Roles.For diner call recordings and transcripts, the restaurant is the “business” (controller) and Order Call AI acts solely as a Service Provider as defined in Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.140(ag). Order Call AI is not a “Third Party” as defined in § 1798.140(ai). Direct CCPA requests regarding call data to the restaurant; we will assist the restaurant in responding.

The distinction matters: a service provider may only use the information to perform the service it was hired for. We contractually commit to those limits in our Data Processing Addendum, which is incorporated into every customer agreement.

Part A — Information we handle as a business

This part covers visitors to our website and the restaurant owners and staff who hold accounts with us.

What we collect

  • Account information — name, email address, and the restaurant you belong to.
  • Contact information — anything you send us by email or through our contact form.
  • Technical information — IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected by our hosting provider as part of serving the site.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this website.

Why we use it

  • To create and secure your account and provide the panel.
  • To respond to enquiries and provide support.
  • To send service messages about your account or the service.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell or share personal information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.

Your privacy choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to obtain a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of sale or sharing, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Texas have comparable rights under their state laws.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@ordercallai.com. We will verify your identity before acting. An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission.

If your request concerns a phone call you made to a restaurant, please see Part B — those requests go to the restaurant, not to us.

Part B — Information we process for a restaurant

This part covers guests who call a restaurant that uses Order Call AI. In everything below, the restaurant is the business that decides how the information is used; we act on its instructions.

Call recording notice

Recording notice. Every call is preceded by an automated notice before any audio is captured: This call is recorded and handled by an automated assistant. This notice is hard-coded and cannot be disabled or modified by the restaurant.

Callers who do not wish to be recorded can ask to be transferred to a member of staff, or hang up and visit the restaurant in person.

What we capture on a call

  • Audio of the call and a written transcript of it.
  • The calling phone number and the time and length of the call.
  • What you tell the assistant in order to complete your request — for example your name, your order, a pickup time, or reservation details.

We do not collect payment card details. The assistant will never ask for a card number. Orders are paid to the restaurant directly.

AI model training

AI model training. We do notuse Customer Data, including call audio, transcripts, or data derived from them, to train, fine-tune, or improve any machine learning model, whether our own or a third party’s. We contractually require our AI subprocessors to do the same.

Biometric information

Biometric information. We do not collect, capture, or store voiceprints or other biometric identifiers. We transcribe the content of speech; we do not identify or verify speakers by voice characteristics.

How long we keep it

  • Call audio: [retention period — pending]
  • Transcripts: 12 months
  • Order and reservation records: 7 years

A restaurant may ask us to delete its data at any time, and we delete it when our agreement with the restaurant ends.

Exercising your rights over call data

Because we act as a service provider, we are not responsible for responding directly to consumer requests about call data. Contact the restaurant you called. If you contact us instead, we will forward your request to the restaurant and help them respond.

Who else sees the information

We use a small number of vendors to run the service — voice processing, database hosting and web hosting. Each is listed, with what it receives, on our subprocessors page. We do not disclose personal information to anyone else except where required by law.

Where the information lives

Data is stored in the United States (AWS us-east-1). Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. See our security page for details.

Children

Our service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify restaurant customers by email before it takes effect.
